Programs: The Medical Outreach Program

In the summer of 2004, a Mission Team traveled to Butere and conducted a 3-day medical outreach program.  With the help of medical staff from Kenya and the mission team, the Butere Miracle Centre church, local community volunteers and other mission team members, over 2000 individuals were seen.  The outreach targeted not only the medical needs of individuals, but also their spiritual needs.  The outreach also provided an opportunity to build long-lasting relationships between the mission team members from America and our brothers and sisters in Kenya.

After seeing the needs of the people in the rural areas of western Kenya, Rainbow Christian Missions initiated efforts to continue the support of this region by providing medicines, medical supplies and medical equipment.  Efforts are underway to establish/expand medical facilities not only in Butere, but also in the towns of Migori and Paponditi.

To continue this mission, Rainbow Christian Missions is in need of medicines, supplies and equipment.  In addition, volunteers are needed to participate in future mission trips in order to help deliver these items and medical care to the people of western Kenya.  For more information on how you can be a part of this mission, contact Rainbow Christian Missions at the above address.
