During the 2004 medical outreach, sixteen women who had been diagnosed as HIV positive came forward seeking help. In addition to providing medical, spiritual, and moral support, efforts have begun to document the lives and feelings of these courageous women so that their families and loved ones will have lasting memories of them. Their stories are in the process of being written for possible inclusion in a book documenting the lives of women who are HIV positive. In addition, other HIV/AIDs education efforts are underway.
